First EMOJI brick-and-mortar store opening
Earlier this year the United Trademarks Group Ltd. (UTG) finalized a short list of locations for its first EMOJI retail store in China. UTG made its final decision and is proud to announce the first EMOJI mono-branded store opening in Chengdu, China (May, 2019). With a population of roughly 15 million people, the city of Chengdu is now one of the most important economic, commercial centers in Western China and is key in the retail strategy of any lifestyle player.
UTG is one of the newest licensees to have joined the EMOJI universe. EMOJI found in UTG a great China partner to expand into the apparel, footwear, bags and accessories categories. Valuable content is essential to drive any brand. The luxury of the EMOJI brand is that there are simply no limits when it comes down to expressing emotions and to share feelings. With the emoji® brand, UTG will further experience an emotional and social connection with its consumers.
UTG is now in talks with other prime locations about its retail expansion and second store opening. UTG’s strong and directly controlled distribution network provides leverage for retail negotiations in prime markets and locations in every province in China. We also plan to cover market demand on the biggest e-commerce platforms. In doing so, UTG will effectively increase EMOJI’s brand visibility through brick-and-mortar and online retail sales.
